Bath & Body Works

Happy. Friendly. Prepped for every season. When writing for this brand, I always placed myself in the headspace of a store associate who was a hard-core fan of the product and had that "we should be friends even though we just met 5 minutes ago" vibe. The copy needed to be aspirational, but easily achievable. It's a unique sweet spot for a brand that's wanna-be-bougie but also runs promotions every day.  

 

For my first three years at this brand, I wrote all of the campaign and daily promo copy for the paid social (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and TikTok) and display channels before transitioning into a cross-functional team structure that provides all copy for email, site, paid social, and app. It was important and fun for me to collaborate with graphic designers, creative directors, and other team copywriters to concept and execute copy for each seasonal product offering.

 

A milestone project: I wrote all of the email copy for the brand's first-ever auto-refresh subscription program—these emails ranged from informing customers that a certain SKU was out of stock to asking them to update credit card information.
